<image:caption>NO. 12 Stallate Ganglion Injection A stellate ganglion block (sympathetic block) is an injection of local anesthetic into the front of the neck for pain located in the head, neck, chest, or arm. NO. 13 Pain Pump The intrathecal pump system consists of a pump/reservoir implanted between the muscle and skin of your abdomen and a catheter that carries pain medication from the pump to the spinal cord and nerves. The pump is programmed to slowly release medication over a period of time.</image:caption>

<image:caption>NO. 04 Lumbar Sympathetic Block A lumbar sympathetic block is an injection of local anesthetic into or around the sympathetic nerves. These sympathetic nerves are a part of the sympathetic nervous system. The nerves are located on either side of the spine, in the lower back. Normally these nerves control basic functions like regulating blood flow. NO. 05 Medial Branch Block The medial branch block is a diagnostic tool to identify a source of pain.</image:caption>

<image:caption>NO. 10 T.E.N.S. T.E.N.S. stands for (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation.) These devices are predominantly used for nerve-related pain conditions (acute and chronic conditions.) T.E.N.S. units work by sending stimulation pulses across the surface of the skin and along the nerve strands to help reduce pain. NO. 11 Trigger Point Injection Trigger points are localized areas of muscle spasm and inflammation, that can occur in various regions of the body. A trigger point injection is a minimally invasive procedure that involves an injection of medication directly into the affected area to help provide pain relief.</image:caption>

NO. 07 Radiofrequency Radiofrequency Ablation (RF or RFA) is a procedure used to help reduce pain. An electrical current produced by a radio wave is used to heat a small area of nerve tissue, thus decreasing pain signals from that specific area.</image:caption>

<image:caption>NO. 08 Sacroiliac Injection The purpose of a sacroiliac joint injection is two-fold. First, to diagnose the source of a patient’s pain, second, to provide therapeutic pain relief. At times, these are separated and the patient will undergo a purely diagnostic or therapeutic injection, although often the two are combined into one injection. NO. 09 Spinal Cord Stimulator Trial When chronic pain becomes so severe that all conservative measures have failed to control it including medications, surgery, injections, physical therapy, and alternative health methods, some patients may be candidates for spinal cord stimulator (SCS) implantation. A trial lead placement is performed for about three days. During the at-home trial period at home, the patient can adjust stimulation settings to optimize pain relief. If and only the patient receives significant pain relief, the permanent system is later implanted.</image:caption>
